Below is a run down of all our events for the forthcoming season.
START TIMES
If the competition you are taking part in is drawn on the day, please arrive at the venue AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE START so we can put your name in the draw.
For the Kent Amateur Championship and the Kent County Cup these events are drawn several days before the event and a start time will be given to you. Please make sure you arrive at the venue before your start time. NOTE: If we are ready to put your match on and you are not available, you will be docked one frame for every 10 minutes we are waiting; therefore you will forfeit your match after 30 minutes.
Your entry fee is your ONLY way to pre-book and guarantee your place in our competitions.

The Kent County Billiards and Snooker Association is the envy of surrounding Counties as we have been regularly running successful snooker and billiards competitions for well over 30 years and we'd like to be here for a few more years yet but we need more support from enthusiastic people to help run the Association. > DRESS CODE...
For all our competitions the required dress code is smart casual, clean clothes. Shirt, trousers and shoes are preferred as opposed to t-shirt, jeans and trainers but this is not a rule. Many of our competitors often wear waistcoat and tie but this is not essential. We really discourage football shirts and shorts.

Format: Dependent on the number of entries but typically this event is run as timed matches of ONE HOUR in a round robin. The top two players will then contest the final.

KENT AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
KENT RESIDENTS ONLY
Open to amateur players who live in Kent or have taken part in this competition before
Format: Matches are best of five frames and will begin promptly at the START TIME below. If you paid an entry for another player please can you make sure they are aware of the start time. YOU MUST be present and ready to play when the Tournament Director calls your match. If we are ready to put your match on and you are not available, you will be docked one frame for every 10 minutes we are waiting; therefore you will forfeit your match after 30 minutes.
Please note that we often have reserves hoping to play so if you know you will not be able to attend the competition please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else. Any players who do not arrive on time may have their place given to one of our reserves on standby.
Please note that the Tournament Director may reduce the number of frames in the final.

SNOOKER PAIRS
KENT RESIDENTS ONLY
Format: Teams consist of two players in matches that are best of five. At the start of each frame each team can decide their sequence of play then each teams that order of play throughout each frame. For the purposes of time, instead of a fifth frame decider, the Tournament Director may opt to make the final frame a black ball decider.

SNOOKER TEAMS
KENT RESIDENTS ONLY
Format: Teams consist of three players in matches that are best of five. Each team decides which player will play first, second and third. Both player ones will then play their first frame, followed by player twos and then player threes; this gives all members of both teams an opportunity to take part. Then the sequence of play is repeated until one team reaches three frames.

Open to amateur and professional players from anywhere

PLEASE NOTE...
With the exception of the Kent County Cup, the KCBSA competitions are only open to people who reside within the County of Kent. Membership to the Association costs just £5 per year. Members are notified of all forthcoming events during the current and subsequent season.
Maintaining communication with the members is our primary concern, we do an annual postal mailing before the AGM at the beginning of August and all notifications throughout the remainder of the season is by email. We have a fairly comprehensive database of postal and email addresses but we rely on you to keep us up to date with your current information in particular your regularly used email address.
Feel free to forward on any details of friends or players you may know who would be interested in competing in future events and we can add them to the mailing list.
